Ubuntu 16.04: Missing Menu bar in LIbre Office and some other softwares.

Ubuntu have been my all time favorite Operating system because of its easy to use and attractive interface. Initially I was bit confused with the Unity but after reading some blogs online and some animation affects I started loving it. I had been waiting for the official of release of 16.04 since March 2016. And recently deployed Ubuntu 16.04 on over 10 stand alone system on my network.

How I encountered the problem

Today when I was working on one of the document created in libre office calc I ovserved that menu bar was missing. Actually I was looking for freeze option. which forced me to search for solutions online.

Missing Menu: A Bug

After reading some blogs and posts online I found following link http://askubuntu.com/questions/762137/applications-menu-missing-from-menu-bar this told me that this is verified bug on Ubuntu and Ubuntu team is fixing the issue.

The Solutions

The solution is yet not received as a patch or update by Ubuntu but there is a simple solution you just need to open the terminal and type 'unity' (without quotes) this will simply restart the unity in ubuntu and menu will start appearing in all the applications where the bar was missing. The sad news is that you may need to do it every time you reboot your ubuntu.
